Uganda Field Study 2016

Human Rights focused Study Abroad Opportunity in Uganda East Africa. Beginning in Easter semester 2016 the Politics department will offer a series of two new two credit courses on human rights, one with a study abroad component. 

The first course, POLS 358 is a two credit seminar on gender and human rights that is offered in the Easter 2016 term. The seminar serves as one of several available pre-requisites for a three-week intensive field study course in Uganda in the summer of 2016. The two credit field study course, POLS359 will run from May 23rd to June 10th and incorporate lectures by Ugandan faculty, a project based service learning experience, and visits to non governmental organizations working in the areas of reproductive and maternal health, social justice, and gender equality.
